A Scarborough, Ontario native,
Brennan is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Performance at
the University of Western Ontario studying under Dr. Jill Ball. He is currently a member of the UWO Wind Ensemble, UWO Percussion Ensemble and the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra. Past performing ensembles include the Ontario Provincial Honour Band (2003), the National Concert Band of Canada (2004) and, Theatre Western. Brennan has had the privilege to work in the past with great musicians such as Eric Whitacre, Dr. Glenn Price, Alain Trudel, Michael Skinner and Alastair Kay. Past performance venues include the Glenn Gould Studio and the George Weston Recital Hall at the Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts. At the National MusicFest of Canada (2004), Brennan was awarded the Zildjian Outstanding Percussionist Award from applicants across Canada. Also, at the Ontario Music Educator’s Association annual Conference (2004), Brennan was awarded the inaugural scholarship for outstanding musicianship and leadership. |
